Da un punto di vista storico-religioso, storico e antropologico, "Antico Testamento" è un termine inaccettabile come pure inaccettabile è l'idea dell'unità dei due Testamenti. Si tratta di concezioni estranee ai testi biblici che furono introdotte solo dai cristiani, ma non all'inizio della nascita del cristianesimo.
